Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced R&D Software Engineer to drive embedded software development for automotive systems. You will tackle firmware, drivers, and low-level interfaces for MCUs and SoCs, collaborating with hardware and test teams.

The role requires hands-on work in C/C++ and Python, familiarity with embedded Linux/Android porting, and a commitment to ASPICE, ISO 26262, and MISRA. You will document designs, perform unit tests, and contribute to product development and quality

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in software or embedded systems development.
Strong experience in C/C++ and Python programming.
Familiar with version control and debugging tools; knowledge of ASPICE is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop firmware and low-level drivers for embedded platforms (MCUs, SoCs).
Board bring-up, peripheral initialization, and interface coding (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
Assist in embedded Linux/Android porting and kernel/device tree configuration.
Prepare and maintain software development documentation, including requirements, design, test reports, and release notes.
Execute software verification and validation to meet customer and automotive requirements.
Support APQP activities and contribute to DFMEA, risk assessments and product deliverables.
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Support production and test engineering with firmware issues during manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, APQP and automotive software standards (ASPICE, MISRA).
