Job summary

Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) in Penang seeks an embedded software engineer to contribute to vehicle software architectures and integration. You will work on design, development, and testing for cross-domain ECUs, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced R&D environment.

This role covers embedded Linux, cross-compiling, Yocto build environments, and kernel-level contributions, with the opportunity to influence next-gen infotainment and ADAS platforms in Bayan

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering/Science.
• Proven embedded software engineering experience.
• Hands-on development and debugging on embedded targets.
• C programming experience and OO programming basics.
• Linux embedded development with cross-compiling and Yocto/Debian builds.
• Reading schematics and datasheets for components.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas Phase 1, Penang or Petaling Jaya.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a project team member on software design matters.
• Capture and evaluate customer and vehicle interface requirements.
• Adhere to Bosch SWE process: reviews and testing.
• Develop software design with module dependencies and system integration.
• SW programming using standard and proprietary tools.
• Create test specifications and test software as needed.
• Analyze failures, resolve design issues, and document analyses.
• Assist manufacturing with troubleshooting and provide post-production support.
