Job summary

Bosch Malaysia is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Penang (Bayan Lepas) to join the software team. You will collaborate on software design, capture requirements, and ensure quality through reviews and testing.

You will develop software with C/C++ on embedded targets, use Linux tools and Yocto/Debian builds, and contribute to system integration. The role requires hands-on development, troubleshooting, and strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and

Qualifications

Bachelor degree required in electrical/electronic or computer engineering/science.
Experience in embedded software engineering.
Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
Solid programming experience in C, C++ or object oriented programming.

Responsibilities

Collaborate as project team member on Software design matters.
Capture and evaluate customer, internal requirements and vehicle specific interface requirements. Identify suitable concept in terms of functional, technological and effort.
Adhere to Bosch Software Engineering Process and perform reviews (requirement/design/code).
Perform unit testing and release of the software according to SW release process.
Develop the SW design considering dependencies to other modules and system integration.
SW programming using standard and proprietary tools and libraries.
Create SW test specs and execute tests ensuring specifications are met.
Analyze failure logs and resolve design issues.
Develop technical reports and design analyses in support of designs.
Assist Manufacturing in troubleshooting and provide post-production support.
