Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a fresh- graduate embedded firmware engineer to design, test and maintain firmware for enterprise hard disk drives. You will work in a cross-functional Agile team on data storage products, using C/C++, Python and modern tools.

The role emphasizes learning, mentorship, and hands-on development in a diverse, inclusive environment. You'll collaborate across hardware and software stacks, participate in planning, and contribute to design documentation while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge in C/C++, object-oriented programming, Python, data structures, algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, integrate and maintain firmware for eHDD.
• Design data structures, algorithms, and drivers for hardware cores.
• Participate in Scrum & Agile processes; develop firmware for data storage products.
• Collaborate across hardware and software platforms, including servers and OSes (Windows and Linux).
• Create design documents for firmware development.
• Support Early Career program onboarding and development curriculum.
