Job summary

Tekmark Group is seeking a Sales Engineer to translate customer needs into technical solutions and business value in Penang, Malaysia. You will build relationships, understand requirements, and present compelling proposals to drive opportunities across the territory.

The role emphasizes strong technical knowledge, customer focus, and the ability to travel when required, with a hybrid work setup and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years experience in Sales, Application Engineering, Project Engineering, Field Service or other technical/customer-facing roles.
• Strong technical understanding with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented, proactive and commercially driven.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and technical presentations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions with customers.
• Work closely with internal technical and operations teams to deliver solutions.
• Follow up on opportunities from initial engagement through to order closure.
• Develop new accounts and expand existing customer relationships.
• Support sales targets and business growth in the assigned territory.
