Job summary

Jabil in Penang seeks a Quality/ Manufacturing Engineer to determine appropriate inspection processes and lead IQC activities, driving supplier quality improvements across programs. You will coordinate containment and corrective actions, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure timely resolution of non-conforming parts with suppliers and customers where applicable.

Ideal candidates have a strong electro/ mechanical background, experience with drawings, and proficiency in MS Office and project

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
3–5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
Strong electro/ mechanical background with knowledge of plastics, tooling and electrical components.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
Understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements for medical and commercial contexts.

Responsibilities

Defines, develops and implements supplier quality strategies and inspection plans.
Leads containment and resolution of supplier quality issues.
Drives supplier improvements and corrective actions through SCAR process.
Provides regular updates to Quality Engineering Manager on execution of strategy.
Monitors and reports supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
