Job summary

Jabil in Penang is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. You will conduct inspections, run tests, and verify adherence to specifications, documenting results and addressing non-conformances.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with various inspection tools and metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM operation is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control, root cause analysis).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
