Job summary

Phabritek Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to oversee in-process patrol inspections and process risk prevention.

You will monitor production quality, identify defects, and drive containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions on site. The role requires 3+ years in electronics manufacturing or process engineering, with strong on-site observation and the ability to troubleshoot quality issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, Optoelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• More than 3 years of working experience in an electronics manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Fluent in Mandarin is highly preferred; good command of Malay and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• In-Process Patrol Inspection of materials, semi-finished products, procedures, and process parameters per SOP and quality standards.
• Identify potential quality risks related to process changes, personnel, equipment and environment; implement preventive measures.
• Identify defective products and process deviations; issue abnormality notifications and follow containment, root cause, and corrective actions.
• Monitor operators to ensure standardized operations and compliance with quality requirements.
• Maintain and report daily, weekly, and monthly quality inspection data and prepare quality reports.
• Participate in quality improvement activities with Process Engineering and QA teams to reduce defects.
• Inspect incoming materials, changes, and changeovers; ensure quality isolation and identification of unqualified materials.
