Job summary

The Security Centre Limited is seeking a skilled security installer in George Town for full-time outdoors work from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The role covers installation, maintenance and servicing of electronic security systems including intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and fire systems.

Candidates should have 5–6 years of experience in this field and be able to troubleshoot, perform routine inspections and advise customers on products and services. Ongoing candidacy is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in servicing and installing security systems.
• Experience with alarms, access control, CCTV and fire systems.
• Ability to run cables, terminate control panels and install devices.

Responsibilities

• Install and service electronic security systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose security system faults.
• Take charge of new sales leads and follow up on company-generated leads for sales of products and services.

Job Description

Your general responsibility and duties include being trained in the installation, maintenance
and servicing of electronic security systems in addition to intruder alarms, card access systems, CCTV systems and commercial fire systems. As such you a required to make a significant contribution to the success of the Systems Dept. by ensuring 100% customer satisfaction. More specifically, your duties include:

• Troubleshooting

Qualification and Experience

• Servicing and installing various electronic security systems including electronic alarms, access control systems, CCTV systems and addressable/conventional fire systems.
• Running cables, executing control panel termination and conducting device installation.
• Performing Central Station connections and system commissioning.
• Executing routine inspections and maintenance on security systems.
• Troubleshooting various systems as required with excellent fault-finding abilities.
• Taking charge of new sales leads and follow-up on company-generated leads in order to execute commercial and residential sales of the company products and services.
• Acting as an advisor of products to potential customers and providing recommendations on all company products and services.
• Performing electrical and civil works relating to security lighting, telephones, audio-visual and home automation /cabling
• Familiarity with Ajax
