Job summary

Chin Hin Group Berhad is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee proper operations and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems. The role includes reading electrical schematics to troubleshoot and perform corrective actions, and planning preventive and reactive maintenance with internal teams or subcontractors.

The incumbent will handle genset switching during outages and address any power or equipment failures.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of working experience in related field.
• Technicians specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Comfortable with ad hoc breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical & mechanical systems including air-conditioning, firefighting, compressed air, refrigerators and other fixtures.
• Read electrical schematic drawings to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and perform corrective actions.
• Plan and perform preventive and reactive/corrective maintenance to minimize breakdowns and power failures, using internal teams or subcontractors.
• Attend genset switching during power failures or equipment breakdown.
• Address all power, equipment, and machine failures and rectify accordingly.
• Record daily electrical readings, inspect substations/MCC rooms, prepare checklists and shift reports.
• Perform any other duty as assigned from time to time.

Job description

Responsible for the proper and efficient operations and maintenance of electrical & mechanical, air-conditioning, firefighting, compressed air, refrigerator, and other mechanical & electrical appliances.

Able to read electrical schematic drawing to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical & mechanical equipment and carry out corrective action work.

Plan and perform preventive maintenance & reactive/corrective maintenance work to prevent or minimize equipment breakdown and power failures, either through internal teams or subcontractors.

Attend genset switching during power failures or equipment breakdown.

Attend to all power, equipment, and machine failure and rectify accordingly.

Record and take electrical reading daily, substation/MCC room inspection, prepare checklist, and shift report.

To perform any other duty and responsibility as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably technicians specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.

Good command of both Bahasa Malaysia & English

Comfortable to work on ad hoc breakdown

Good personal traits and characteristics, high integrity, trustworthy, reliable and honest.
