Job summary

SARAWAK OIL PALMS BERHAD is seeking an electrical technician to perform wiring, installation, maintenance and repair for building electrical systems on-site in Sarawak. The role requires a valid Wireman Competency Certificate Grade 2 and 1–3 years of related experience.

The candidate should be knowledgeable in single-phase (240V) and three-phase (415V) electrical systems, with a solid grasp of electrical safety and safe work practices. Travel and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Wireman Competency Certificate (Grade 2) issued by the Energy Commission of Malaysia.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting or a similar role.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, including single-phase (240V) and three-phase (415V) electrical systems for building facilities.
• Basic knowledge of electrical safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Willing to travel and work on-site as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical wiring, installation, maintenance and repair works for building electrical systems
• Carry out routine and preventive electrical maintenance to ensure electrical systems and equipment are operating safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, identify electrical issues and carry out necessary repair and rectification works
• Install, maintain and repair single-phase and three-phase wiring systems
• Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and basic fault diagnosis of electrical installations
• Assist in general building maintenance works when required
