Job summary

COMMGATE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Field Application Engineer with proven experience in the electrical or utility industry.

You will combine technical knowledge and commercial insight to help utility companies, electrical contractors, consultants and industrial customers identify suitable products and solutions. This role focuses on LV/HV electrical environments, customer engagement, and problem-solving to develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales/technical role within the electrical or utility industry.
• Understanding of electrical products, systems or solutions.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into commercial and technical solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the utility and electrical sectors.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend practical technical solutions.
• Provide technical support on electrical products and solutions; experience with LV/HV equipment is highly valued.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utility companies, electrical contractors, consultants and industrial customers.
• Present solutions clearly and support customers throughout the sales process.
• Work towards sales targets and contribute directly to business growth.
• Travel to customer sites when required.
