Job summary

Hirehub Management Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a senior Test Engineering leader in Senai, Johor to guide a team of Test Engineers and Technicians through DFT, ICT/FCT, and fixture development. You will own the entire test lifecycle from Design, NPI, Pilot, Ramp-up, to Mass Production and Sustaining.

Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to improve test yield, FPY, cycle time, and cost while ensuring readiness for new products and smooth NP I transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years in Test Engineering, EMS/PCBA manufacturing preferred, 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong experience in NPI, PCBA testing, ICT/FCT/Functional Test, fixtures and test programs.

Job Description

• Lead and manage the Test Engineering team, including Test Engineers and Test Technicians, with responsibility for team performance, resource planning, and technical development.
• Own the test engineering lifecycle from Design, NPI, Pilot, Ramp-up, Mass Production to Sustaining.
• Define and implement overall test strategy, test coverage, and test requirements based on customer and product specifications.
• Work closely with customers and R&D to establish Design for Testability (DFT) requirements and ensure test readiness for new products.
• Lead development, qualification, and implementation of ICT, FCT, Functional Test, Programming, Calibration, and other applicable test solutions.
• Lead test fixture, test equipment, and test program development, validation, and release.
• Drive production test performance, including test yield, FPY, NTF, false failures, test cycle time, and tester utilization.
• Lead test failure analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions in collaboration with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, test reliability, productivity, and cost.
• Manage test equipment, fixtures, suppliers, maintenance, calibration, and related CAPEX.
• Act as the key Test Engineering interface with customers and support customer technical reviews, audits, and test-related issues.
• Ensure effective transfer and sustainment of test solutions from NPI into stable mass production.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Test Engineering, preferably within an EMS / PCBA manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong experience in NPI, PCBA testing, ICT/FCT/Functional Test, test fixture, test equipment, and test program development.
• Good understanding of DFT, test coverage, test yield, FPY, NTF, and test cycle time improvement.
• Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing customer technical requirements.
• Strong project management, communication, and people management skills.
• Experience with test automation or programming is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC, or Six Sigma is an advantage.
