About the role

Jarash Radiance Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician/Supervisor to join our team in Miri, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems and operations. As Electrical Technician/Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance, repairs and installations whilst supervising a team of technicians. This position is integral to maintaining our operational excellence and supporting the smooth functioning of our business across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating a team of electrical technicians on daily tasks, schedules and safety compliance
• Conducting routine electrical maintenance, inspections and testing of equipment and systems to identify and prevent potential faults
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, malfunctions and defects in a timely and efficient manner
• Installing, commissioning and maintaining electrical equipment, wiring systems and control panels in accordance with specifications and safety standards
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant codes, regulations and company safety standards
• Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections and spare parts inventory
• Mentoring and training junior technicians on best practices, safety protocols and technical skills
• Responding promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Liaising with management and other departments to communicate project status, timelines and resource requirements
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in electrical operations

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification or certification in electrical engineering or electrical installation from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years' experience working as an electrical technician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, wiring standards and industrial electrical equipment
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools and maintenance software
• Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations, building codes and industry best practices
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving abilities and technical competence in troubleshooting complex electrical issues
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
• Physical fitness and capability to perform hands-on electrical work in various environments and conditions
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between work sites as required
• Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems is highly desirable
