Job summary

Ansell in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Technician (AO) to join our facilities team. You will be responsible for electrical troubleshooting, repairs, wiring installation, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a diploma or certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant working experience may also be considered.
• Experience in repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical wiring installation.
• Basic knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations and JPE Acts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a warm, humid and noisy environment.
• Able to work on shifts.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform electrical troubleshooting activities and repair electrical equipment and systems.
• Electrical Wiring Installation: Install and maintain electrical wiring systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Carry out preventive maintenance work and SOP checklist inspections on temperature controllers.
• Assigned Duties: Undertake instructions and tasks delegated by supervisors and engineering management.
• Compliance and Workplace Standards: Ensure all work practices comply with environmental and quality policies; follow SOP, 5S and GMP requirements.
• SOP and GMP Compliance: Perform all activities according to SOP, 5S, GMP standards.
• Safety and Company Regulations: Follow company rules, regulations, and workplace safety procedures.

What your role will be?

1. Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair

• Perform electrical troubleshooting activities.
• Carry out repair work on electrical equipment and systems.

2. Electrical Wiring Installation

• Install and maintain electrical wiring systems.

3. Preventive Maintenance

• Carry out preventive maintenance work.
