Job summary

Trident Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled electrical professional to supervise electrical installation and construction at project sites, including EV charging infrastructure, cable laying, trunking, and terminations.

You will read drawings, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, maintain records, and liaise with authorities and project teams. Willingness to work nights, overtime, and short- term outstation assignments is required; own transport preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Professional Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• PW4 Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical installation, engineering construction, or M&E projects including supervision.
• Good knowledge of electrical installation practices, testing, troubleshooting, and safety requirements.
• Willing to work at night when required, overtime, and short-term outstation assignments.

Job description

Supervise, coordinate and oversee electrical installation and construction works at project sites, including cable pulling, cable trunking, conduit installation, cable termination and EV charging infrastructure.

Carry out electrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, rectification, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Ensure electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements and schedule.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and specifications.

Coordinate daily site activities of the subcontractors and site workers, including plan and monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical works.

Coordinate with project team, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other site teams for the site kick-off preparation and to resolve technical and site-related issues.

Inspect completed electrical works and ensure workmanship and installation quality meet the required standards.

Ensure all site activities comply with electrical safety requirements, project specifications, and site safety procedures.

Coordinate material requirements and verify delivered materials against approved specifications.

Maintain daily site records/reports, work progress reports, inspection records, testing reports, and other relevant documentation.

Liaise with relevant local authorities, consultants, clients, and inspection parties when required.

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the work site.

Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Management.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Having a valid PW4 Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in electrical installation, engineering construction, or M&E projects including supervision.

Good knowledge of electrical installation practices, testing, troubleshooting, and safety requirements.

Good knowledge in construction processes, project resources planning and documentation, techniques, and project materials and able to liaise with site team and relevant project authorities.

Must be willing to work at night when required, particularly to supervise Tesla EV Supercharger installation, testing, commissioning, and related works at shopping malls and other project sites.

Must be willing to work overtime and undertake short-term outstation assignments at local project sites when required by Project Management to meet project demands.

Able to read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications.

Good communication and problem-solving skills including site coordination skill.

Able to work independently, work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and good at Project management software and tools like AutoCAD, Microsoft Project will be an added advantage.

Good teamwork, self-initiative and proactive in handling site issues, with strong commitment to daily duties and willingness to take on new challenges.

Possess own transport and valid driving license.

Able to start in a short notice is added to an advantage
