Job summary

O-I BJC in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Technician to maintain and repair electrical equipment across batch plants and production lines. You will perform breakdown, preventive and routine maintenance and assist with daily electrical tasks, lighting and small repairs.

You should have 1–2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, practical knowledge of power control circuits is a plus, and be physically capable of working in a factory. Immediate joining availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of power control circuits is an advantage.
• Physically capable of working in a factory environment.
• Able to join us immediately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown, preventive and routine maintenance of electrical equipment in the Batch Plant, Furnace Working End, Forehearth, IS Machine and Cold End.
• Assist the Electrical Maintenance Department with daily electrical tasks, including lighting and minor electrical repairs.
• Participate in continuous improvement and electrical upgrading projects.

Job description

Ensure all work is carried out with appropriate safety precautions and in compliance with company procedures and applicable ISO standards.

Ensure all electrical equipment are functioning safely and repair any faulty appliances.

Maintain good housekeeping in the electrical room, including the Genset, Transformer, HV, and LV Panel Rooms.

Carry out breakdown, preventive and routine maintenance of electrical equipment in the Batch Plant, Furnace Working End, Forehearth, IS Machine and Cold End.

Assist the Electrical Maintenance Department with daily electrical tasks, including lighting and minor electrical repairs.

Participate in continuous improvement and electrical upgrading projects.
