Job summary

SCG Control Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor on a contract basis for Penang Island. The role involves managing on-site electrical installation activities, coordinating teams, and ensuring safety and quality across projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on electrical installation experience, proven supervisory skills, and strong ability to read drawings and SLDs. Willingness to work overtime and travel as required is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in electrical installation and construction projects.
• Proven supervisory or site leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to manage teams effectively and maintain discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, installation standards and safety codes applicable to construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation teams on-site, ensuring all work is completed to specification and within agreed timelines
• Supervise LV electrical and control cable installation works according to approved drawings and project specifications
• Coordinate installation of cable trays and lay power cable & control cable
• Read and interpret SLD, electrical drawings, cable schedules and installation drawings
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, site protocols and industry best practices across all electrical operations
• Manage site resources, including equipment, materials and personnel, optimising efficiency and minimising waste
• Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, safety records and daily logs
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, IEC standards, site safety procedures and client requirements.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join SCG Control Solution Sdn Bhd on a contract basis. This is a pivotal supervisory position responsible for overseeing electrical construction activities and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on Penang Island. In this role, you will manage site operations, coordinate teams, and maintain compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Your leadership and technical expertise will be essential to driving project efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship across all electrical installations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation teams on‑site, ensuring all work is completed to specification and within agreed timelines
• Supervise LV electrical and control cable installation works according to approved drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate installation of cable trays and lay power cable & control cable.
• Read and interpret SLD, electrical drawings, cable schedules and installation drawings

What we’re looking for

• Minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on experience in electrical installation and construction projects
• Proven supervisory or site leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to manage teams effectively and maintain discipline
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, installation standards and safety codes applicable to construction
• Competency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, SLD and cable schedule
• Good leadership and site coordination skills.
• Proficiency in site management tools and software, with strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities
• Chargeman / Wireman competency certification is an added advantage.
• Willing to work overtime and travel to project sites when required
• Flexibility to work on contract‑based assignments and adapt to varied project requirements
• Experience in semiconductor, data centre, industrial or manufacturing projects is an advantage.
• Candidates with semiconductor, or major industrial project experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• A valid driving licence and reliable transportation
