Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical quality inspection for construction or industrial projects.
• Familiar with electrical drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality documentation systems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection test plans, and statutory requirements.
• Carry out and record electrical testing activities, including loop checks, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, and integrated systems testing.
• Prepare, execute, and maintain quality documents, including Inspection Test Reports, Project Quality Plans, Test Plans, Inspection and Test Procedure, and Method Statements.
• Witness electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and engineers on quality-related matters.

Electrical Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting electrical installation works to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Control

Inspect electrical installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection test plans, and statutory requirements.

Conduct routine, witness, and hold-point inspections for electrical construction activities.

Verify materials, workmanship, and installation practices meet project quality standards.

Carry out and record electrical testing activities, including loop checks, continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, and integrated systems testing.

Quality Documentation & Records

Prepare, execute, and maintain quality documents, including but not limited to Inspection Test Reports, Project Quality Plans, Test Plans, Inspection and Test Procedure, and Method Statements.

Record inspection results, test data, non-conformances, and corrective actions in accordance with project procedures.

Support compilation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control dossiers for project handover.

Witness electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests where applicable.

Coordination & Compliance

Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and engineers on quality-related matters.

Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policies and site regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical quality inspection for construction or industrial projects.

Familiar with electrical drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality documentation systems.

Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards is an advantage.

Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
