Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to execute and oversee relay testing and commissioning for electrical systems at data centers. You will support the integration of automation systems on-site and collaborate with stakeholders to meet project milestones.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of site experience with protection relays, HV systems, and SCADA. Strong reading of schematics, good communication, and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of site experience in relay testing, commissioning, and electrical automation.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure and HV systems.
• Strong understanding of protection relays, SCADA systems, and automation protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee relay testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
• Support the implementation and integration of automation systems at the data center site.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, test reports, and commissioning records.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to subcontractors and junior engineers.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide updates on project progress.
