Job summary

United Malayan Flour in Butterworth is seeking a maintenance technician with basic electrical knowledge. You will be responsible for light fixtures, switchboards, meters, air compressors, and routine gauss checks, supporting mill operations.

The role requires the ability to plan maintenance during mill stoppages, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate with the maintenance team. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge required.
• Diploma in Electrical or Chargeman/Professional Certification such as SKM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• In charge of light fixtures, electrical switchboards and meters, screw air compressors and gauss strength checking on schedules.
• Plan maintenance and servicing for electrical switchboards during mill stoppages.
• Assist Maintenance Fitter to dismantle faulty motors, send for rewinding and reassembly after repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Performs other related duties or task as assigned by the superior from time to time in an efficient, professional, and courteous.
