Job summary

United Malayan Flour in Butterworth is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Assistant to support light fixtures, switchboards, meters and air compressors on a daily basis. You will assist planning maintenance during mill stoppages and help dismantle, rewind and reassemble motors as needed, working with the maintenance team to ensure reliability.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical knowledge or a Diploma in Electrical/Chargeman/SKM certification, with at least one year of related experience,

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess basic electrical knowledge.
• Diploma in Electrical or Chargeman/SKM certification.
• Minimum one year related work experience; fresh graduates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• In charge of light fixtures, electrical switch boards and meters, screw air compressors and gauss strength checking as scheduled.
• Plan maintenance and servicing for electrical switchboards during mill stoppages.
• Assist Maintenance Fitter to dismantle faulty electric motors, send for rewinding and reassembly after repairs.
• Perform related duties as assigned in an efficient, professional manner.
