Job summary

Thong Guan Industries Berhad is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to lead and supervise electrical maintenance in our Kedah plant, ensuring safe and efficient operation of HT/LV systems. You will troubleshoot breakdowns, plan preventive maintenance, and coordinate contractors while working with Energy Manager on energy-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3–5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
Knowledge of HT/LV systems, motor control, switchboards and distribution.
Experience supervising contractors and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe plant operation.
Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Plan and monitor preventive maintenance for electrical equipment and systems.
Monitor HT/LV systems, switchboards, transformers, MCC, motors and other equipment.
Coordinate contractors during maintenance, installation and upgrading works.
Ensure electrical work complies with safety requirements and regulations.
Maintain records of maintenance, inspections and repairs.
Support machinery installation, commissioning, and engineering projects.
Collaborate with Energy Manager on energy-saving initiatives.
Provide guidance to technicians and maintenance staff.
