Job summary

HP in Penang invites a college intern to gain hands-on experience in Electrical Hardware Engineering, focusing on Electronics/Electrical Design & Testing in a true R&D environment. You will work with the R&D team to develop practical test boards and generate test scripts for automated testing.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, available for a 5–6 month full-time internship starting around May 2027, with basic CAD knowledge, programming basics, and strong

Qualifications

Electrical or Electronics Engineering undergraduate or relevant education background.
5–6 month full-time internship starting around May 2027.
Basic knowledge in CAD software for schematic capture.
Basic programming know-how and hands-on experience.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge of electronic principles.
Interest in Electronics Circuit & System Design, Troubleshooting and Validation.
PCB design, Process Set-up and Fabrication of Test board.
EMC knowledge and test automation scripting (e.g., Python/Visual Basic).
Practical AI/ChatGPT application development experience to support engineering problem analysis.

Responsibilities

Acquires practical experience working on Electronics/Electrical Design & Testing.
Work closely with R&D team to develop practical test board in a true R&D environment based on required product requirement.
Generating useful test scripts to support an automated test environment.
