Job summary

SGS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an intern to assist the laboratory team in dismantling Electrical & Electronic products for testing. You will prepare samples, handle receiving and documentation, and support engineers during testing in a hands-on lab environment.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude. A 3-month minimum internship is expected, with on-site work in Kulai, Johor.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings, product specifications, and work instructions.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools to disassemble products.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactive, responsible and eager to learn in a lab environment.
• Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the laboratory team in dismantling E&E products and components for testing.
• Perform sample preparation: cutting, sorting, labeling and organizing samples.
• Support Engineers in preparing products prior to testing.
• Handle sample receiving, registration, storage and disposal.
• Use basic hand tools to disassemble devices.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe lab workspace.
• Record sample information and testing logs accurately.
• Follow lab procedures, quality requirements and safety guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Laboratory Manager or Engineering team.
