Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Project Technician to join our team in Batu Kawan, Penang. In this role, you will install basic field devices, commission devices using standard tools, and troubleshoot system issues to ensure project readiness.

You will maintain clear communication with customers and contractors, perform warranty response within SLAs, and ensure all work complies with safety standards. A strong electrical background and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintenance of field devices and systems.
• Familiarity with standard electrical/system concept, configuration and commissioning tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install security system field devices as required for project completion.
• Commission newly installed devices using standard configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic system issues.
• Respond to and resolve warranty calls within service level agreements.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with Johnson Controls personnel, contractors, and customers on job progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with standards, protocols, and safety requirements.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean and working order.
