Job summary

BigHire seeks an engineer to design, implement, and test control and protection systems for substations from 11kV to 500kV. You will manage projects, integrate equipment, and perform testing of panels on site, with opportunities to participate in retrofitting works and other duties as assigned.

The role requires a degree or equivalent, 1 year of related experience, and strong skills in communication, negotiation, and problem solving. Proficiency in MS Office and CAD tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year related experience; industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently, self-disciplined, and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job description

• Engineering of controland protection systems for Substations range from 11kV up to 500kV in conformance to client specification, international standards and codes.
• Project implementation and management. Attend project meetings as required.
• Responsible for the system integration of equipment and systems.
• Testing of Control and Protection Panels.
• Attends site modification, retrofitting and replacement works.
• Other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time.

JobRequirements:

• Candidates must possess at least Degree or equivalent.
• One year related experience and industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able toworkindependently, self-discipline, self-motivated and resilient.
• Able toworkovertime and to undertake pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of PC general software eg Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power point).
• Candidate with technical knowledge and experience in Electrical Substation Power System Protection, Control and Automation Systems will be added advantage.
