Job summary

Rubberflex Sdn Bhd in Bentong, Pahang is seeking an Electrical Engineer to ensure reliable, safe electrical systems for our rubber thread production facility. The role covers power distribution, HV/LV switchgear, and maintenance of transformers, UPS, and critical equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with 11kV systems, PLC/automation, and strong diagnostic skills, with on-site work in Bentong.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
3–5 years of direct experience in heavy manufacturing or chemical processing plants.
Hands-on experience with 11kV systems, power generators, oil-based transformers, UPS units, switchgear, smart meters, PLC systems, VFDs, and industrial automation.
Ability to read electrical schematics, manage complex circuits, and use diagnostic tools for HV/LV troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Oversee power distribution, switchgear, and control panels at Bentong plant.
Analyze and reduce power usage and maximum demand with smart meters.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for transformers, UPS, and power infrastructure.
Maintain electrical components for rubber thread production including heating elements and motors.
Calibrate and repair temperature, flow, and pressure instruments.
Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and DOSH standards.
Manage electrical upgrades and new machinery installations.
