Job summary

Wan Husin & Associates Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical Building Services Design professional in Malaysia. You will lead design from concept to completion for high-rise, commercial and industrial projects, with BIM coordination and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 5+ years in the field, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and project tools; registration with BEM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Building Services Design within an Engineering Consultancy firm.
• Hands-on experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospital or industrial building projects.
• Experience in BIM implementation (Revit MEP) is preferred.
• Well-versed in Electrical, ELV & ICT systems design for building construction projects.
• Knowledge of Malaysian authority requirements and submission procedures (TNB, ST, BOMBA, JKR & Local Authorities).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate Electrical, ELV & ICT Building Services designs from concept to project completion.
• Perform electrical design calculations, simulations and technical analysis.
• Prepare construction cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications.
• Coordinate design works with Mechanical, Civil, Structural and Architectural teams.
• Review contractors' shop drawings, technical submissions and method statements.
• Attend client, consultant, contractor and authority meetings.
• Coordinate submissions and approvals with TNB, ST, BOMBA, JKR and Local Authorities.
• Monitor project progress, risks, budget and quality.
• Participate in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design reviews where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian codes, standards and project specifications.
