Job summary

MYFutureJobs is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Kuantan, Malaysia. The role focuses on reliable operation of motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, generators, substations and plant electrical systems.

You will plan electrical work for shutdowns and emergencies, ensure qualified personnel and tools are available, and diagnose faults across drives and protection systems. Strong coordination with multiple teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in related electrical field.
• Contract role with normal working hours.
• Experience with electrical systems in plants, substations and drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation of motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, generators, substations and plant electrical systems.
• Plan electrical work during shutdowns, overhauls and emergencies.
• Ensure availability of qualified personnel, test equipment, tools and critical spare parts.
• Diagnose faults involving motors, drives, control panels, power distribution, protection relays and cables.
• Provide guidance to electricians on inspection, testing, repair, installation and safe work practices.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, cable schedules, load calculations, specs and work scopes.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with operations, mechanical, instrumentation, procurement, contractors and management to improve plant performance.
