Job summary

Ideal Vision Integration in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an Electrical & Electronic Engineer to develop electrical schematic designs, perform feasibility studies, and provide technical solutions for new machine specifications.

You will troubleshoot machines, improve quality and reduce costs, handle motor regulation issues, power and pneumatic systems, and maintain thorough documentation with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in control panel wiring for automation equipment.
• Proficient in E-Plan / E3 / AutoCAD.
• Automation or semiconductor exposure is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop Electrical schematic design to meet customer requirements.
• Perform feasibility studies and provide technical solutions for new machines specifications.
• Troubleshoot machines and perform root-cause analysis to improve performance.
• Improve quality and reduce product cost; handle electrical hardware design (schematics, panel layouts, cabling).
• Analyze motor regulations and resolve related issues.
• Analyze Power & Pneumatics management systems and propose new solutions.
• Identify EOL hardware, source replacements, test and optimize performance, and validate parts.
• Create and update documentation for new and existing products.

Job description

• Develop Electrical schematic design to meet customer requirements.
• Perform feasibility study and provide technical solutions for new machines specification.
• Perform machine troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to achieve the required machine performance.
• Develop solutions to improve quality and reduce product cost. Electrical hardware design of manufacturing equipment (schematics, panel layouts, cable run outs, network topologies, cable designations, I/O overviews, terminal references, etc.)
• Analyze problems linked to motor regulations and provide new solutions if needed.
• Analyze problems linked to Power & Pneumatics management system and provide new solutions if needed.
• Identify EOL hardware products, source for replacement, test, characterize and optimize performance. This includes Engineering validation of returned Electrical parts from customer.
• Systematic creation and update of documentation related to new and existing products, internal rules
• Perform electrical parts assignment and inventory checks.
• Provide expertise in motion control systems and performance optimization.

Job Requirement:

• Preferably bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Preferable 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in control panel wiring and electrical installations for automation equipment.
• Candidate should be proficient in either one of the electrical design tools E-Plan / E3 / Auto-Cad.
• Exposure in automation or semiconductor industry is an advantage.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
