Job summary

SK8 Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Malaysia to develop electrical layouts, schematics, and documentation for projects. You will perform calculations, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, and collaborate with mechanical, project, and production teams to integrate systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with AutoCAD or similar tools, strong analytical abilities, and good communication within a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in electrical design; fresh graduates with strong fundamentals may be considered.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations (IEC, IEEE, etc.).
• Good understanding of control systems, power distribution, and electrical components.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of generator control systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical layout, design drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation per project requirements.
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Project, and Production teams to integrate electrical systems into project designs.
• Support BOM preparation and technical specifications for procurement and fabrication.
• Conduct design reviews and propose improvements for reliability, cost, and efficiency.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
• Ensure all design activities are completed within project schedules and quality standards.
