Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a hyperscale data center in Sedenak, Johor. You will maintain critical electrical systems, monitor via BMS/EPMS/DCIM, and drive reliability and uptime in a mission-critical environment.

The role requires 3–7 years of electrical engineering experience, with exposure to UPS, generators, transformers, and switchgear. You will work on-site in Sedenak, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to uphold safety and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-7 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience within a data center, mission-critical facility or similar operational environment.
• Experience with UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS, or power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, or DCIM monitoring systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical electrical systems including UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS, and power distribution equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
• Monitor critical facility systems through BMS, EPMS, DCIM, or other monitoring platforms.
• Respond to alarms, electrical faults, and operational incidents while supporting corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance, testing, servicing, and repair activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site safety procedures, operational standards, and company requirements.

Our agency is looking for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of a leading facilities management provider supporting a hyperscale data center in Sedenak, Johor.

The Role

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment. Requirements

• Experience with UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS, or power distribution systems
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, or DCIM monitoring systems is advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to work in a site-based, mission-critical environment in Sedenak, Johor
