About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer - Distribution to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

As an electrical design engineer, you will be required to undertake overhead and underground distribution design projects. Your technical background will allow you to drive engineering solutions whilst developing and gaining exposure to complex and cutting-edge technologies in a business with a pure focus on power and energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, material lists, estimating connection costs, and securing customer approvals in accordance with Western Australian utility standards.
• Develop scopes of work through active engagement with customers, local authorities, landowners, and power utilities, utilizing network investigations, data analysis, and application of network standards and guidelines.
• Complete projects for customer-driven distribution network and connection projects including commercial connections, generation connections and large-scale underground power conversions.

Demonstrate a proven track record in:

• Overhead power line and underground network design and modelling.
• Design of asset relocations, reinforcements, and upgrades.
• Street lighting design, AutoCAD, and MicroStation drafting.
• Underground power network design (including subdivisions).

About you

• An Electrical Engineering Degree, Diploma/Advanced Diploma, or Electrical trade qualifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Proficiency in using required computer systems and applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic.
