Job summary

BYD Malaysia is seeking a technically skilled aftersales specialist to provide warranty and service support for electric buses across Malaysia.

You will diagnose battery, motor, high-voltage and charging system faults, coordinate with HQ for complex issues and ensure timely resolution. Travel within Malaysia is required to support dealers, service centers, and fleet customers, with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of EV traction batteries, motors, high-voltage components and charging systems.
• Proficient in fault diagnosis, wiring diagrams and DTC analysis.
• Familiarity with warranty evaluation and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and warranty support to dealers, service centers and fleet customers; diagnose faults involving EV systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis, develop repair solutions and coordinate with BYD HQ to minimize downtime.
• Review and process warranty claims, verify findings and coordinate approvals per policy.
• Provide training on diagnostic tools, repair procedures, maintenance standards and warranty requirements.
• Monitor recurring issues, analyze data and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate reports and warranty records; ensure timely case closure.
• Support new model launches, software updates, service campaigns and product improvements.
• Conduct site visits across Malaysia and collaborate with internal teams, dealers and customers.
