Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad is seeking an EV technician responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electric vehicles in line with manufacturer standards. You will handle high-voltage systems, batteries, motors, and charging equipment, ensuring safe and efficient service.
The role requires 1–2 years in automotive repair with EV exposure, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Electric Vehicles (EV) in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety procedures.
Conduct diagnostic checks on EV systems including high-voltage batteries, electric motors, power electronics, and charging systems.
Inspect, identify, and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
Carry out high-voltage (HV) battery removal, replacement, and testing as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Ensure all service and repair works are completed within the stipulated time and meet quality standards.
Follow safety protocols when handling HV systems and tools.
Accurately record all repairs, findings, and parts used in the job card system.
Assist in vehicle final quality checks before delivery to customers.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Automotive / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in automotive repair; experience in EV systems will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of automotive electrical and high-voltage systems.
Possess diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
Physically fit and able to adhere to safety standards.
Willing to attend training and continuously improve technical expertise.
