Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee on-site safety in our construction projects. The role requires a Yellow Book Certificate and a minimum Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health. You will lead site activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with the Act and regulations.

• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate site activities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Full-time on safety supervision and on promoting the safe conduct of work generally within the site.
• Ensure that the provisions of the Act and any regulations made thereunder are complied with;
• Promote the safe conduct of work generally within the worksite;
• Inspecting and rectifying any unsafe place of work;
• Correcting any unsafe practice;
• Checking sub-constructors' workplace to ensure compliance with the Act and the regulations made thereunder;
• To play a role in monitoring and enforcing safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all site personnel, promptly reporting and addressing any safety concerns or incidents.
• Prepare Safety and Health report and documents to main contractor SHE officer.
• To liaise with contractor's safety supervisors appointed with respect to safety of work undertaken by sub-contractors.
