Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Environmental, Safety and Health professional to oversee site safety at a high-rise construction project in Kedah. You will monitor compliance with DOSH standards, conduct risk assessments, and drive ESH programs to protect workers and the public.
Minimum 2 years’ construction experience and a Diploma in Environmental/Health/Safety or Engineering are required, with DOSH Yellow Book qualification preferred.

For this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment at the construction site. You will monitor site safety practices, conduct inspections, identify hazards, manage risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety requirements and company standards.

Advise and make practical recommendations for the company management and site management of the project site assigned on any ESH matters in accordance with relevant bylaws and its system requirements, with legal, regulatory, and company ESH requirements.
Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure machinery, equipment, tools, and processes are safe and comply with DOSH standards.
Assist the employer or the Environmental, Safety, and Health committee in organizing and implementing Occupational Safety and Health programs and conducting internal training for workers, staff, and contractors at the place of work.
Develop, review, update, and reassess project or work trade risk assessments (HIRADC) before the commencement of any work, ensuring consultation and agreement with the relevant personnel responsible for the identified risks (Risk Owners).
Principal employers’ responsibility to ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) and Amendment Act A1648 (2022).
Minimum Diploma in Science / Engineering (Environmental / Health / Safety) or equivalent.
Registered competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH) - Possessed valid Yellow Book.
Minimum 2 years of working experience in construction (High Rise Buildings/ Landed Projects)
Well-versed with EHS laws, OSHA (Pindaan) 2022 (Act A1648) and EQA 1974.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
