Job summary

onsemi is seeking an EHS Intern to assist the Environmental, Health & Safety team in maintaining a safe, compliant and sustainable manufacturing workplace. The role offers hands-on experience with inspections, compliance monitoring, and EHS program execution.

You will participate in safety training, support incident investigations, review risk assessments, and help maintain training records while collaborating with the team on safety improvements and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail oriented with analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrates strong interest in safety, compliance, and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Inspections and Audits, conducting regular workplace inspections/patrolling to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
• Support implementation of EHS policies and compliance requirements.
• Assist in site inspections of facilities, equipment, and safety practices.
• Help identify hazards and recommend basic safety improvements.
• Support incident investigations and documentation of findings.
• Assist in reviewing work methods, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports and support safety data tracking and analysis.
• Assist in toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programmes.
• Monitor PPE compliance and support site safety initiatives.
• Upkeep and maintain EHS training records.
