Job summary

Flex is seeking an Environment Health & Safety Engineer based in Flex PTP, Johor. You will develop, implement, and monitor environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote accident-free, healthy workplaces.

Key duties include hazard identification, safety training, accident investigation, and liaison with vendors and engineers on safety matters. A Bachelor’s in engineering or related field is required, with 6 years of EH&S experience; Master’s degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent EH&S experience.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in EH&S or related position; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults with all departments on equipment design, fire prevention and safety programs.
• Inspects plans for new machinery to ensure safety precautions are included.
• Tours plant to identify hazards and ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Defines safety clothing requirements and installs safety devices on machinery.
• Conducts or coordinates safety training for emergency, policies and practices.
• Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares reports.
• Conducts air quality tests for harmful gases and vapors.
• Identifies health and safety hazards and recommends corrective actions.
• Interacts with vendors, contractors and engineers on health and safety matters.
• Audits business units and reports safety findings.
• Administers workers' compensation, OSHA 2000 log and return-to-work programs.
