Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Bukit Minyak, Penang, is seeking an EH&S Engineer to develop and monitor environmental safety programs and ensure compliance with local regulations. You will work under the EHS Manager and collaborate with various departments to implement safety measures across facilities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences, at least four years in EH&S, and holds SHO and CePSWAM certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in EH&S or related positions.
• SHO (Green Book) & Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWAM).

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and monitors environmental safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspects plans and equipment to ensure safety precautions are included.
• Designs and installs safety devices on machinery and defines safety clothing requirements.
• Conducts safety training and educates workers on emergency procedures and safety policies.
• Investigates industrial accidents and prepares reports to minimize recurrence.
• Conducts air quality tests for harmful gases and vapors.
• Interfaces with vendors, contractors, and engineers on health and safety matters.
• Compiles and submits safety reports; administers workers' compensation and OSHA 2000 log.
