Job summary

KLK OLEO is seeking a seasoned Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Lead in Malaysia to oversee all maintenance and reliability activities for the plant. You will manage a team of supervisors, chargemen and E&I technicians, ensuring safe operation of switchgear, transformers and LV systems, and alignment with SAP processes.

The role requires a Technical Diploma/Cert/SPM with at least 10 years in plant maintenance, including 2+ years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma / Cert / SPM in related field is required.
• At least 10 years of working experience in plant maintenance.
• Preferably with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and reliability of plant electrical and instrument systems.
• Operate, control and maintain switchgear, transformers and LV distribution.
• Perform switching operations and ensure system stability and proper loading.
• Lead fault analysis and system restoration during trips or failures.
• Ensure compliance with Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulations 1994.
• Manage a team of supervisors, chargemen and E&I technicians including SAP upkeep.
• Develop weekly, monthly and annual maintenance planning, coordination and execution.
• Coordinate instrumentation calibration works.
• Direct preventive and preservation maintenance for optimum asset reliability.
• Verify and check daily production breakdown reports.

Fully responsible for operation, control and maintenance of switchgear, transformers and distribution including LV system.

Perform switching operations (energizing, isolating, synchronization if applicable). Ensure system stability, correct loading and voltage levels.

Lead fault analysis and system restoration during trips or failures

Ensure all electrical systems comply with Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulations 1994

To manage a team of supervisors, chargeman and E&I technician to ensure the plant is correctly maintained include SAP system upkeep.

Develop weekly, monthly and annual maintenance planning, coordination and execution programs within the plant

To coordinate all site activities related to instrumentation include calibration works.

Direct and guide the preventive and preservation maintenance strategies to ensure optimum reliability of asset

To verify and check daily production breakdown report

REQUIREMENTS :

Possess Technical Diploma / Cert / SPM in the related field

At least 10 years of working experience in plant maintenance, preferable with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
