Job summary

Macain Energy Services seeks a capable Estimator for Instrumentation, Electrical & Control projects. The role focuses on preparing cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals for E&I tenders, while supporting engineering design reviews, procurement, vendor evaluations, and site activities across project execution.

You'll participate in project coordination, prepare reports, and assist in commissioning and start-up on both onshore and offshore sites, ensuring alignment with specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in tendering/estimation for E&I projects.
• EPC or engineering consultancy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate E&I scope for bidding projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering documents and specifications.
• Review designs for compliance with project specs and standards.
• Oversee RFQs/MRs and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines; site visits.
• Assist in erection, commissioning, start-up, onshore and offshore.

Job description

The role will mainly focus on preparing cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals for Instrumentation, Electrical & Control (E&I) projects. Besides tendering, you'll also support engineering design reviews, procurement (RFQs/MRs), vendor evaluations, project coordination, site visits, commissioning activities, and provide technical support throughout project execution.

• Estimation of Instrument, Electrical & Control scope for different projects company is bidding.
• Preparation of detailed engineering documents and specification for various projects company is handling.
• Review of detailed designs and drawings to ensure compliance with the project specifications and standards.
• Finalising various RFQs/MRs as per project requirement and Technical/Commercial evaluation of the offers from vendors.
• To oversee and provide necessary support and training to engineering subordinates and juniors in all technical and commercial related scope from bid stages up to project completion.
• Attending kick off meetings, coordination/progress Meetings with clients and coordinate technical information with client and other discipline.
• Conduct site visit for project verification and data gathering.
• Assist in plant erection, commissioning, and start-up, both onshore and offshore.
• Project Management, Planning, Scheduling, Reporting, Cost control and coordination of Site execution activities.
• Inspection and acceptance testing including FAT for the procured instruments, control systems and Bulk materials, participate in Client FAT/SAT if required.
• Prepare/Issue reports, schedules, plans as required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent)
• Relevant experience in Instrumentation, Electrical & Control engineering, with demonstrable exposure to tendering/estimation and project execution.
• Prior experience in an EPC or engineering consultancy environment preferred.
