Job summary

V-Cool Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a full-time on-site M&E Quantity Surveyor based in Gelugor.

The role focuses on preparing and reviewing BOQ for mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, ventilation, ducting, and piping, while estimating costs and tender documentation. You will evaluate contractor quotations, assist in negotiations, and monitor project costs, variations, and progress claims to ensure budgets are maintained.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in QS, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Experience in BOQ preparation and cost planning for M&E projects.
• Experience with cost reporting, progress claims, variations.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong numeracy, analytical, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQ for M&E works including HVAC, ventilation, piping, electrical.
• Estimate project costs and prepare tender documents.
• Evaluate contractor quotations and assist in negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, track variations, and prepare cost reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers; verify progress claims.
• Support final accounts and project close-out.
