Job summary

SINOVEST INDUSTRIES SDN BHD is seeking a responsible Lorry Driver to join our Selangor-based team. You will safely deliver electrical and hardware products to customers and designated locations, and you will maintain delivery documentation and coordinate with relevant departments.

The role requires a valid GDL licence, a clean driving record, 1–3 years of experience, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Overtime may be required for local routes across Selangor.

Qualifications

• Valid GDL licence and clean driving record.
• 1–3 years of Lorry Driver experience preferred.
• Minimum high school qualification.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned lorry and deliver electrical and hardware products on schedule.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload goods carefully to prevent damage.
• Check orders, obtain customer acknowledgment, and submit delivery documents.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics for schedules and requirements.
• Perform basic daily vehicle checks and keep the lorry in good condition.
• Follow traffic laws and company policies with professionalism.
• Handle delivery issues and perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proper handling of goods, completing delivery documentation, coordinating with the relevant departments, and maintaining the assigned lorry in good condition.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate the assigned lorry and deliver electrical and hardware products according to scheduled routes and timelines.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload goods carefully, ensuring the correct items and quantities are delivered without damage.
• Check delivery orders, obtain customer acknowledgment where required, and submit completed delivery documents to the relevant department.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics teams regarding delivery schedules, customer requirements, and delivery-related issues.
• Conduct basic daily vehicle checks, keep the lorry clean and in good condition, and report any damage or mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws, road safety requirements, and company policies while maintaining professional and courteous conduct with customers.
• Handle unexpected delivery or route issues responsibly and perform other delivery-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Possess a valid GDL Licence and valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Lorry Driver; experience in electrical, hardware, construction, or similar products is an advantage.
• Minimum High School qualification.
• Familiar with Selangor and surrounding areas and able to follow delivery schedules efficiently.
• Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious, and physically fit to assist with loading and unloading when required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with customers and internal teams.
• Able to work independently, as part of a team, and handle basic delivery-related problems.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
