ELSA in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Drilling Superintendent to lead the planning, coordination and execution of drilling operations for an international upstream oil & gas project, while supporting operations in Oman.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years as a Drilling Superintendent, 5+ years in deepwater drilling operations, IWCF Level 4, and strong leadership and English communication to manage stakeholders, travel and site activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years of experience as Drilling Superintendent.
5+ years in deepwater drilling operations.

Responsibilities

Lead drilling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution.
Review drilling programs, operational procedures, and well plans.
Coordinate drilling activities with contractors, service providers, and project teams.
Monitor operational performance and resolve drilling-related challenges.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Manage drilling resources, equipment, materials, and operational schedules.
Support incident investigations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor drilling engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.
