Job summary

ELSA is seeking an experienced Drilling SSHE Specialist to support risk-control activities for an upstream oil & gas project in Sabah. You will provide SSHE specialist support for drilling, workover and P&A operations, and support projects across exploration, appraisal and development drilling.

Minimum 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry with PSC experience and at least 5 years in drilling, workover, or P&A operations, including deepwater exposure (>4,000 ft).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering required.
• 10 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Experience in PSC environment.
• 5 years supporting drilling, workover and/or P&A operations; experience across exploration, appraisal and development drilling projects.
• 2 years of deepwater drilling experience (>4,000 ft).

Responsibilities

• Provide SSHE specialist support for drilling, workover and Plug & Abandonment (P&A) operations.
• Support SSHE activities for exploration, appraisal and development drilling projects.
• Assist with identification and assessment of SSHE risks associated with drilling activities.
• Assist drilling and operational teams in implementing SSHE risk controls.
• Participate in SSHE reviews and operational assurance activities related to drilling operations.
• Monitor compliance with SSHE requirements and procedures.
• Identify SSHE issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support SSHE requirements for assigned drilling activities, onshore or offshore.
• Support continuous improvement of SSHE practices throughout drilling operations.
