Job summary

YTL Construction is seeking a Draughtsman (C&S) to draft civil and structural drawings and plans for assigned projects. You will produce technical drawings ensuring compliance with building specifications and quality standards.

The role requires Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and at least 3 years of CAD/Revit drafting experience, with BIM proficiency essential for this position, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job description

Draughtsman (C\&S) is responsible for the drafting of civil and structural drawings and plans of the assigned projects. Ultimately, you will be executing the production of technical drawings and plans for civil and structural designs by ensuring the compliance with building specifications and quality standards.

• Perform all tasks related to drafting, plotting and preparation of drawings and documents.
• Responsible for drafting elements such as columns beams, slabs, foundation and details.
• Responsible for the drafting of drawings and details for mid-scale projects: layout plans, elevations, sections, typical details, specialised details, schedules, etc.
• Determine and comply with the production and drafting standards within the draughting division.
• Provide support in steel structure BIM workflow documentation and submission process.
• Monitor BIM drawings to ensure technical consistency in accordance with project progress.
• Analyse and identify building specifications, codes and sites.
• Analyse data and reviews from drawings and plans to achieve high quality of work and project feasibility.
• Support Engineers with the production of drawings and related technical documentation for projects.
• Support Engineers with technical implementation issues and coordination on site for projects.
• Perform site visit to supervise, coordinate and inspect the works of technicians and technologists assigned to the projects.
• Prepare drawings for the submission to the authority and responsible for the applications related to council and authority.
• Coordinate with Architecture and M\&E departments for the drawings.
• Coordinate and lead the site technical meeting when needed.
• Conduct and review design calculations and determinations to ensure the accuracy.
• Ensure the documentation is in compliance with the guidelines, requirements, and codes
