Job summary

DJS Interior Sdn Bhd, based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a talented Drafter to join our Design & Architecture team in Cheras. This full-time role transforms design concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation for interior design and architecture projects.

You will produce detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D visuals, ensure compliance with Malaysia codes, and collaborate closely with senior designers to deliver high-quality outputs on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or equivalent tools.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawing standards, conventions, and best practices.
• Excellent technical drawing skills with a keen eye for precision and detail.
• Understanding of building codes and regulations applicable to Malaysia.
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality output.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to suggest practical solutions.
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software is advantageous.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling and visualisation tools such as SketchUp or 3ds Max is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualisations for client presentations and construction teams.

• Revising and updating drawings based on feedback from architects, designers, and clients.
• Maintaining accurate and organised documentation of all project files and versions.
• Collaborating with the design team to clarify specifications and resolve drawing-related queries.
• Preparing material schedules, specifications, and other supporting documentation as required.
• Contributing to project meetings and providing technical input on feasibility and construction requirements.
