Synthomer Malaysia is seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to coordinate weekly distribution with Customer Service, Warehouse, Planner and LSPs at the Kluang site in Malaysia.

You will monitor compliance with regulatory, customs and safety requirements, and help resolve inbound and outbound logistics issues to ensure timely material receipt and on-time deliveries. This role emphasizes accuracy in cost control and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics planning and distribution.
• Knowledge of import/export and customs requirements.
• Familiarity with SAP and logistics documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute weekly distribution with internal teams and LSPs.
• Monitor LSP compliance to legal, statutory, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries to meet customer ETAs and OTIF targets.
• Support inbound logistics for raw materials and production continuity.
• Maintain and control logistics documentation and cost records.

Purpose of the Job:

1. Manages Logistics Service Providers (LSP) support on deliverables and effective operation with timely dashboard report
2. Support and monitors LSP compliance to legal and statutory requirements and contractual obligations
3. Plan, schedule and facilitate daily distribution with Customer Service, Warehouse, Planner and LSP
4. Support transportation planning and coordinate deliveries to meet customer’s requested ETA and achieve on time in full (OTIF) performance
5. Support planners in resolving inbound logistics issues to ensure timely receipt of raw materials, packaging materials, and intercompany transfers, thereby maintaining continuity of production and inventory availability.
6. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customs requirements. Import/export and trade requirements for inbound and outbound logistic activities
7. Act as the Logistics focal point for Safety, Quality Management System (QMS), and Environmental activities at the Kluang site.
8. Initiate and coordinate LSP complaints and corrective actions (8D reports), ensuring timely response and closure with the necessary supporting documentation.
9. Create/check/change freight cost for all local/export/courier/internal transfer/returnable totes & IBC on daily basis.

Main Accountabilities:

1. Plan, coordinate, and execute weekly distribution schedules with Customer Service, Warehouse, Planning, and Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments.
2. Work closely with planners, freight forwarders, warehouses, and LSPs to resolve inbound logistics issues, customs and clearance challenges
3. Initiate corrective and improvement action and closures on LSP performance findings on operation related
4. Review and ensure all transport units to site met site requirements and effective turnaround time 5.Verify actions by LSP with site assessment and operation verification
5. Engage with internal departments and LSPs to ensure accurate SAP accruals and timely reconciliation of logistics invoices and billing.
6. Maintain and control logistics documentation, including Proof of Delivery (POD), shipping documents, customs declarations, import documentation, and other relevant logistics records.
7. Adhere to all Site Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
8. Maintain and control ISO-related documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, QMS requirements, and the timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
9. Ensure compliance with all applicable customs and regulatory requirements related to import and export operations, including customs declarations, duties, taxes, permits, and supporting documentation
10. Create PR & GRN for logistics department related both CCS & HPPM
11. Prepare weekly and monthly logistics performance reports and KPIs for CCS and HPPM meetings,
12. Investigate and support the resolution of logistics-related complaints, including short weight claims, material issues, supplier delivery issues, suspected pilferage, transportation losses, and LSP performance concerns.
